Database Use Instructions
This document will walk you through the process for searching the COPPR Healthy and Active Communities – Statewide Local Policy Assessment. There are two (2) ways to navigate the database, the drop down on the left or the pie chart on the right which represents the Regions.
| View by Topic (Topic/issue areas pertaining to physical activity and/or nutrition related policy) |
- Select one or more topics from the Policy Topic dropdown menu. (Note: Under the Get Results button you will see a list of the selected topics)
- After you have selected the desired policy topic(s) press the Get Results button to display the requested information in the table below.

- Select one or more regions from the Region dropdown menu. (Note: Under the Get Results button you will see a list of the selected regions)
- After you have selected the desired policy topic(s) press the Get Results button to display the requested information in the table below.
Tip: Use the bar graph on the right to view policy information from a specific county in that region.

| View by Counties (Topic/issue areas pertaining to physical activity and/or nutrition related policy) |
- Select one or more counties from the Counties dropdown menu. (Note: Under the Get Results button you will see a list of the selected counties)
- After you have selected the desired counties(s) press the Get Results button to display the requested information in the table below.
Tip: If you selected more than one county you can use the bar graph on the right to view policy information from a specific county.

(Defined settings where physical activity and/or nutrition related policies were collected) |
- Select one or more environments from the Environment dropdown menu. (Note: Under the Get Results button you will see a list of the selected environments)
- After you have selected the desired environment(s) press the Get Results button to display the requested information in the table below.
Tip: Tip: Use the bar graph to the right to view policy information from a specific county.

- Select one or more items from various dropdown menus to narrow your search results (Note: Under the Get Results button you will see a list of the selected search criteria)
- After you have selected the desired criteria press the Get Results button to display the requested information in the table below.

- Use the bar graph to the right to view policy information from a specific county.

- Select the blue link from County field in the table below to narrow by that specific county.

- Refer to the Policy Summary column in the table below

- Click the blue link in the Policy Title column of the table.

- Click the blue external website link in the Policy Language column of the table below. This field will not always be available but should contain the specifics on each policy listed when applicable.

| Please select a different policy topic, region, additional counties or remove environmental modifiers. |

| Please select a different policy topic, fewer regions, fewer counties or add environmental modifiers. |
